Our client, a mechanical manufacturing company in Stellenbosch, has an exciting career opportunity for a reliable, detail-oriented, independent, and self-motivated individual. The successful candidate will report to the Mechanical Engineer and will be responsible for (but not be limited) to: *concept designing, rendering, detail designing and compilation of manufacturing drawings for each design *costing of new and old designs *research and design of new concepts *product development of current products (with guidance from mechanical engineer) *technical support to sales team *technical support to manufacturing *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Diploma in Mechanical Draughting; • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position in the mechanical field is required, experience specifically in the trailer industry will be to the candidate’s advantage; • Proficiency in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written); • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Access, Auto Desk programmes); • Valid driver's license and own transport.
