Boplaas 1743 Estate, situated in Simondium, is seeking to employ an onsite Systems Analyst with Project Management background. The position will entail project management, as well as System Administration and Desktop Support. The ideal candidate is someone who has excellent hands-on technical and interpersonal skills with the following attributes: the ability to communicate on all levels in a non-technical manner, and an organised self-starter, who has a passion for end user support and implementing/maintaining best practices. Extensive experience in Project management and System Administration is required. The following will be to the applicant’s advantage: CompTIA A+ technical certification, MCSE certifications, experience in PowerBI / QlikView and Edge Systems. The incumbent will report to the Financial Director and will be responsible for the following: * Application Development Project Management * Provide end user support * Ownership of core corporate infrastructure * Monitor system health and performance * Configure and deploy new hardware * Handling of backups and disaster recovery simulations * Manage Microsoft server disaster recovery operations * Identify opportunities to optimally utilise systems * Cybersecurity best practices * Operational documentation * Ensure security of data and network access * Develop data views and reports * Web Development * other ad hoc duties related to this position.
