Jordan Wine Estate, situated in Stellenbosch, has a position available for a solution-driven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English), who can work accurately under pressure. The ideal candidate is a loyal individual who is passionate about wine and hospitality, and relishes working in an environment crafted through relationships and family principles. The incumbent will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for (but not be limited to): *Overseeing all financial and administrative functions of the company *Managing the finance team *Production of all financial statements and preparations for annual audit *Calculation, preparation and submission of Income Tax, VAT, Customs & Excise; SAWIS and all other statutory returns and dealing with all SARS related tax queries *Preparation and production of internal monthly departmental management reports & HOD liaison *Financial analysis fuelling strategic decision making *Preparation of a comprehensive annual budgeting and management of CAPEX processes *Management of suppliers, debtors and insurance-related tasks *Overseeing IT and Human Resources *Assist in inventory control and updating the fixed asset register with the relevant HOD’s *Salary, wages and sales commission administration *Bank liaison: electronic transfers; forex payments and back accounts management *General assistance with office management *All other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant tertiary accounting qualification (BCom with completed articles); • Approximately 5 years' relevant experience, including in the wine industry; • Excellent computer proficiency (Pastel, MS Office and Payroll); • Experience in dealing with SARS, working knowledge of Income Tax and VAT Acts as well as applicable Labour Laws (WCA, Statutory payments etc.); • Own reliable transport.
