Our client, a small wine and olive farm situated between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, currently has the above position available for a driven individual with excellent management and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English). The ideal candidate can work independently, is self-motivated, can handle pressure and shows initiative to enhance and help grow the farming activities. The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of horses. The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for supervising the full farming cycle of the vineyard and olives (full year farming activities). Other responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following: *overall management function *assist with general farming activities *assist with disease and pest control *general security of the farm and premises *staff/farm worker management *taking good care of the farm animals on the farm (variety) *assist with general maintenance *all other tasks generally related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Grade 12 (Matric); • A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial; • Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in a similar role; • Willingness to work hard and having a passion for the outdoors and farming activities is critical. *Accommodation is included in the remuneration package.
