The succesfull candidate is an self-motivated, energetic, creative, hands on person who is willing to take on a challenging position. Also an excellent communicator, fully bilingual with great problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. A relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of four years’ experience of the total winemaking process, three local and three international harvests in cellars that focus on premium wines is a prerequisite. Computer literacy (SAWIS) is a further requirement. The suitable candidate will report to the Head Winemaker/Director and will be responsible for: * the total winemaking process * stabilising of wines * liaison with wine buyers * managing quality controll systems (IPW) * stock control and production administration * assisting with marketing activities and wine tasting * personnel management * all other duties normally associated with the position.
