Incanda Furniture, located in Paarl, currently has the above excellent career opportunity available for a driven, independent, fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English) individual with strong interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills. This position is ideal for someone that can handle pressure and thrives in an adrenalin-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *management of Incanda’s upholstery business and carpentry factory, including the coordination of integration and collaboration between all divisions and 5 subcontractors *scheduling of production within agreed lead times for clients *work closely with resident industrial engineer to apply ‘Just in Time’ and ‘Lean Management’ principles in terms of stock procurement and to increase production efficiency *coordinating with facilities manager to manage all maintenance and repairs as well as installation, electricity and other utilities *product development and ‘value engineering’ *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Matric with minimum 5 years’ experience in a production environment, of which at least 2 years in a supervisory role; OR • Relevant tertiary qualification with +-3 years’ experience in a similar role; • Strong computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel at intermediate level); • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, CAD-based drawing programmes, and financial programmes (Pastel/Evolution) will be to the candidate’s advantage; • Own reliable transport; • Must be willing to work overtime when required.
