Stellar Winery in Vredendal currently has a position available for a hard-working and eager to learn Assistant Winemaker. The Assistant Winemaker will be responsible for (but not limited to): *coordination of harvest activities in the cellar *processing, blending and stabilization of wine *inventory control and cellar hygiene *full winemaking process with the Winemaker *control and supervision of cellar staff *achievement of project goals as per retailers / international clients’ needs *all administrative functions related to the position. Wine production would include Red, White and MCC. As a Private winery, Stellar Winery is the largest producer of fine, organic, fair trade wines in South Africa, and the largest global producer of no-added-sulphur wines. Stellar Winery exports wine to European-, Asian-, African- and North American markets. Innovation is at the heart of everything they do. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Diploma / Degree in Viticulture and Oenology; • Driver’s license; • Excellent computer proficiency; • Knowledge of wine, the blending process and record keeping; • Relevant experience will count in the applicant’s favour but is not essential.
