Merwida Wine Cellar, located in the picturesque Breedekloof Wine Valley, has the following exciting career opportunity available: FACILITY MANAGER (Tasting Room and Conference Area) This is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated, friendly and dynamic individual who can function independently. The suitable candidate will mainly be responsible for the management of the new tasting room and facilities. Other responsibilities include effective marketing of the premises and facilities, quality control of all products and services provided on or off the premises, social media management, inventory control, financial administration, personnel management as well as the arrangement and coordination of on-site functions. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Marketing and / or Tourism; • An appropriate qualification in wine and / or management will count in the candidate's favour; • Good financial skills and understanding of finance; • Proven experience in Personnel management; • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in a similar role; • Driver’s license and own transport; • Computer proficiency; • Knowledge of social media networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram); • Must be available to work on scheduled weekends and after hours (festivals, tastings and functions).
