Marianne Wine Estate, situated in the picturesque Stellenbosch Wine region, currently offers the following excellent career opportunity: LOGISTICS AND EXPORT MANAGER The successful candidate is a competent, dynamic and self-motivated individual who can work accurately under pressure. A senior certificate, at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position, a driver’s license and own transport, computer proficiency (MS Office and Wine-on-Line), and proven experience in SAWIS certification are pre-requisites for this position. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in the wine industry will be to the candidate’s advantage. Responsibilities include (but is not limited to): • Planning and scheduling bottling to ensure availability of stock • Planning and scheduling labelling to ensure availability of stock • Managing the dry goods stock: processing orders, liaising with suppliers, drawing up effective production schedules, coordinating the procurement of the necessary dry goods • Preparing documentation and administration relating to export and domestic shipments • Loading of consignments and completing the associated administration. • Preparing and maintaining up to date Wine on Line and SAWIS documentation • Preparing and submitting excise to SARS monthly with the support of the Administration Manager • Stock accounting: ensuring data integrity on the company’s stock report system, maintaining it up to date at all time • Logistics administration (including transfer of stocks between warehouses, delivery notes and relevant documentation) • Maintaining effective relationships and communication channels with logistics and distribution partners • Continuous improvement and documentation of logistics- and warehousing processes and procedures all other administrative tasks associated with the position.
