Welgedacht Home Owners Association has a management team who manages the affairs of their security estate in the northern suburb of Bellville. We have a vacancy, new position, for a Horticulturist/Environmental Manager to join the team reporting to the Executive Estate Manager. The role of the position is to manage, on a day to day basis, an in-house garden services team and external contractors who will be doing the maintenance and improvements of the 13 hectares of Private Open Spaces in the estate. Also join the Enviro team and develop an table ideas of improvements to the open areas and when approved, execute the work. We want a person who will: • through knowledge and experience enhance the gardens of the estate • take ownership, have people skills and manage his team to deliver an above average service to the estate. • plan the work of the estate with the emphasis on the estate open areas being neat and tidy throughout the year. • table recommendations on landscaping, plants, trees, grass and wetlands which will benefit the estate. • work in a team but also has the ability to work independently. • be qualified as a Horticulturist and has approximately 3 years working experience. • be fluent in speaking, reading and writing Afrikaans and English. • WHOA offers an above average market related salary, a pleasant working environment and normal leave and sick leave benefits.
