Our client, a well-known Wine Company in the Western Cape, is looking for a Sales Agent across all provinces in South Africa. The purpose of the position is to market a wonderful range of wines to restaurants, selected retail and private clients (friends, families, acquaintances and wider community). The candidate will effectively be starting a mini-business by sharing wines with restaurants, selected retail as well as with his/her wider network of connections. The successful candidate is a self-motivated individual with a passion for wine and a desire to work autonomously. He/she should also have great networking skills, interpersonal skills, be entrepreneurial at heart and be able to communicate efficiently and courteously with various stakeholders. Matric is a requirement for the position, however no relevant experience is required. Marketing experience, knowledge of wine or a combination of the two would stand the candidate in good stead, but is not a requirement for the position. The successful candidate will be responsible for: • The sales and marketing of the company’s wines in his/her area, community or to his/her network of connections (friends, family, local business and wider network). • Liaising with existing as well as possible new clients. • Report to the international marketing manager in order to share relevant sales information. • Managing the company’s existing client base in the area as well as gain new clients in order to grow the company’s client base.
