Multi-Color Global Label Solutions, with its head office situated in the picturesque Boland Winelands, in Paarl currently offers the following position: MANAGER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AFRICA This position will report directly to the Senior Director IT EMEA with a dotted line to Regional President and is responsible for the oversight, management, support, and project delivery of all Information Technology activity within the Africa Region under the direction of MCC Business Management and IT Management. The Manager will be responsible for both Business Systems (ex. ERP implementations and support) and IT Infrastructure activities. In this capacity, the Manager Information Technology Africa will work with company-wide IT staff and local business-unit associates to ensure all regional Information Technology is adequately maintained and supported, as well as provide management oversight to ensure approved projects are successfully implemented. The Manager will ensure all technology solutions meet the regional business needs and is also responsible for establishing, maintaining and ensuring compliance of IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (including SOX). All regional IT staff will report directly to this position. Applicants must meet the following essential requirements: *Experienced leader (5 years or more) in IT with responsibilities for business applications (ERP) and infrastructure. *Project Management skills with experience leading IT projects for both application systems and infrastructure *Advanced technical ability to manage and support operating system, ERP system applications and network software. *Ability to clearly communicate (verbally and written) complex technical matters in English. *Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making. *Travel both domestic and international. *Ability to identify critical requirements and act accordingly; independently prioritize and manage day-to-day priorities. *Advanced ability to analyse complex situations and develop solutions to those situations. *Effectively supervise technical staff members; Ability to form and develop a high calibre technical support organization. *University degree, preferably in Information Technology or a relevant qualification *Lead, manage and develop others. Key Performance Areas: *Provide leadership, direction, and support to local IT staff and IT contractors. *Work with senior management to understand the strategic and tactical plans of the supported Business Units and develop a local IT plan that is aligned with the overall business plan. *Develop and manage IT project plans, system implementations and expenditures. *Ensure technology infrastructure continues to support organization's needs and that best practices and standards are followed. *Develop, maintain and enforce IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirement controls (including SOX). Ensure compliance with these policies and regulatory controls. *Responsible for the oversight, management, support, and project delivery of all Information Technology activity within the Africa Region. *Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget for the assigned Regional IT operation.
