The ideal candidate has excellent financial skills, can work independently, is self-motivated and is a pro-active decision maker. A relevant tertiary qualification (B Com or the like) with at least five years relevant accounting experience are requirements for the position. Experience in the wine industry would be to the applicant’s advantage. The Financial Manager will report to the Commercial Manager and is responsible for: * managing the accounts team * assists with drafting of budgets * preparation of management reports * full financial reporting up to financial statement level * liaising with auditors, including preparation of annual audit report * stock costing and control on Accpac * detailed profit analysis * statutory returns * payroll administration * maintaining fixed asset registers for different divisions * all other financial and administrative functions relevant to the position.
