Our client, a young and dynamic company based in Rondebosch, currently has the following fixed term (18 month) vacancies: TECHNICIAN (Mechanical Engineer) The successful candidate is an enthusiastic person with good work ethic and the ability to work within a team environment. A relevant qualification (Btech Mechanical Engineering), 1 year previous experience in a manufacturing environment with 6 months piping and instrumentation experience and knowledge of process flow diagrams are prerequisites for this position. Proven experience with Creo Parametric and/or Solidworks is a further requirement. Computer literacy (MS Office/Excel/Visio/LabView) will be to the applicant’s advantage. Main responsiblities: Undertake Creo Parametric/Solidworks technical drawings and 2 & 3 dimensional layout modelling, physical construction and assembly of sub-components and systems for the various customized products * physical construction and assembly of sub-components and systems for the various customized products * mechanical component specification and procurement * train subordinates in terms of standard operating procedures for electro-mechanical assembly and wiring * all other ad hoc tasks related to the position.
