Our client, a global wine business, is seeking a hands-on Farm and Vineyards Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of its vineyards and farming operations based in Stellenbosch. This role is ideal for someone with strong viticultural expertise who enjoys leading teams through the full vineyard cycle, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Oversee all vineyard operations, including planting, pruning, irrigation, fertilisation, pest control and harvesting *Monitor vine and soil health, implementing best practices to maximise grape quality *Plan and implement seasonal vineyard programmes *Lead, train and manage vineyard teams *Champion sustainable farming practices and ensure compliance with standards such as WIETA and Fairtrade *Oversee vineyard equipment, property maintenance and farm security within budget *Maintain accurate operational records and support compliance, audits, farm tours and promotional activities *All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Viticulture, Oenology, Agriculture, or related field;

• Minimum 3 years' vineyard and farm management experience;

• Strong knowledge of vineyard operations, farm machinery and winemaking processes;

• Proven team leadership, problem-solving and computer skills;

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance;

• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
