Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager, who is passionate about the cultivation of apples and pears. The successful candidate will be based on a farm 10km outside of Greyton, and will report directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Responsible for the overall management of Apple and Pear units (±70 ha in total) *Overall management and control of production processes *Effective resources & cost management *Effective workforce management, including training and development *Recordkeeping and documentation pertaining to quality management and ethical processes *Plan and coordinate harvest schedules *Facilities management and maintenance *Planting of new orchards *Managing Global Gap and SIZA *All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Agriculture will be advantageous;

• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role;

• Knowledge of apples and pears;

• Excellent computer proficiency;

• Must be able to take full responsibility and work in a team;

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);

• Valid driver’s license.
