Logistics Coordinator

Ceres Koelkamers, situated in the Schoonvlei industrial area in Ceres, has an opportunity available for an energetic and dynamic Logistics Coordinator to join their team.

The successful candidate will have a practical and proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The role requires someone who can work independently, take responsibility, and perform effectively under pressure.

The Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Operations Manager of the department. Responsibilities will include: *Liaising with warehouses, marketers, and relevant internal and external parties *Ensuring the complete and accurate dispatch of pallets to the export and local markets according to loading instructions *Managing and maintaining pallet stock on Vitrax *Coordinating team members and the daily functioning of the team — not as a department head, but as a responsible coordinator who works independently *Proactively identifying and addressing operational challenges in consultation with the Operations Manager.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Matric is required, a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous;

• Proven relevant experience in a logistics environment and/or the fruit industry;

• Strong computer skills;

• Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English);

• Own transport and a valid Code 8 driver’s licence;

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.

Logistieke Koördineerder

Ceres Koelkamers, geleë in die Schoonvlei industriële gebied in Ceres, het ’n geleentheid beskikbaar vir ’n energieke en dinamiese Logistieke Koördineerder om by hul span aan te sluit.

Die geskikte kandidaat sal ’n praktiese en proaktiewe ingesteldheid hê, sterk aandag aan detail toon en gemaklik wees in ’n werksomgewing met ’n vinnige pas. Die rol vereis iemand wat onafhanklik kan werk, verantwoordelikheid kan neem en effektief onder druk kan werk.

Die Logistieke Koördineerder sal direk aan die Operasionele Bestuurder van die afdeling rapporteer. Verantwoordelikhede sluit onder andere in: *Skakeling met pakhuise, bemarkers en relevante interne/eksterne partye *Volledige en akkurate versending van palette na die uitvoer- en plaaslike mark volgens uitlaai-instruksies *Bestuur en byhou van palletvoorraad op Vitrax *Koördinering van spanlede en daaglikse funksionering binne die span — nie as afdelingshoof nie, maar as verantwoordelike koördineerder wat selfstandig werk *Proaktiewe identifisering en hantering van operasionele knelpunte, in oorleg met die Operasionele Bestuurder.

Noodsaaklike kwalifikasies, vaardighede en ervaring:

• Matriek is ’n vereiste, ’n relevante tersiêre kwalifikasie sal voordelig wees;

• Bewese relevante ervaring in logistieke omgewing en/of vrugtebedryf;

• Sterk rekenaarvaardighede;

• Uitstekende kommunikasievaardighede (Afrikaans & Engels);

• Eie vervoer en ’n geldige Kode 8-bestuurslisensie;

• Bereidwilligheid om oortyd en naweke te werk wanneer nodig.
