Our client, a wooden pallet manufacturer supplying predominantly the fruit and agricultural industries, is seeking to employ an energetic and hands-on Business Operations Coordinator to join their team based in Paarl. The successful candidate will be a key link between customers, suppliers, production, logistics, dispatch and administration. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable all-rounder who is willing to learn, take initiative and thrive in a busy manufacturing environment.


Key responsibilities include: *Sales & Customer Orders: Serve as the first point of contact for customers placing daily and ad hoc orders; Confirm product types, quantities, availability and expected delivery dates; Maintain a clear understanding of available stock and current production capacity; Coordinate customer requirements with the production, dispatch and logistics teams; Assist with the preparation and processing of quotations, sales orders and invoices. *Logistics, Dispatch & Deliveries: Assist with coordinating the dispatch of customer orders, incoming supplies and outgoing deliveries; Monitor the movement and expected arrival of supplier deliveries; Maintain an understanding of materials being delivered and expected delivery dates; Assist with coordinating vehicle allocations, products, quantities, destinations and expected delivery times; Communicate relevant dispatch and logistical information to customers, suppliers, drivers and management. *Procurement Support: Maintain regular contact with approved suppliers; Assist with placing and following up on orders; Monitor expected deliveries and communicate possible delays or shortages; Provide general supplier coordination and procurement support. *Operational & Administrative Support: Develop a practical understanding of stock levels, production activities and daily operational requirements; Assist with stocktakes and the accurate recording and reconciliation of stock.; Assist with customer invoices, statements and related administrative enquiries; Provide backup support with employee working hours, overtime information and wage-related administration when required; Assist management with general operational and administrative matters; Step into different areas of the business when additional support is required.


Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Grade 12; relevant tertiary qualification will be beneficial;

• Good computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and general business systems;

• Able to communicate confidently in both Afrikaans and English;

• Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, dispatch, internal sales, procurement or general business operations will be advantageous;

• A valid driver's licence and reliable own transport.
