Our client, a leading organisation within the wine industry, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Debtors Clerk to join their finance team based in Stellenbosch.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their accounts and play a key role in debtors management, customer and retailer liaison, reconciliations, financial administration, and month-end reporting. This role is ideally suited to a highly organised and analytical individual who works accurately under pressure, manages deadlines effectively, and has strong experience dealing with high-volume debtor accounts.

Duties will include (but not be limited to): *Manage the full debtors function, including the accurate processing and maintenance of customer accounts *Reconcile customer accounts and ensure the timely allocation of receipts and remittances *Monitor overdue accounts, follow up with customers, and escalate outstanding matters where necessary *Maintain accurate and up-to-date debtor records *Manage accounts for key retailers and customers while adhering to strict deadlines and requirements *Resolve customer account queries efficiently and maintain professional customer relationships *Provide clear and professional feedback to relevant stakeholders regarding outstanding accounts *Assist with month-end processes relating to debtors *Prepare and submit reconciliations, reports, and supporting schedules *Support the finance team in maintaining effective internal controls *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Matric required, a relevant tertiary qualification in finance will be advantageous;

• 3-5 years' experience within a similar role;

• Hands-on experience working with Syspro or similar accounting software;

• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, specifically with Microsoft Excel);

• Own reliable transport.
