Our client, a global leader in fruit variety management, is looking for an Operations & Administration Officer to join their team based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. They must demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Providing administrative support to clients, suppliers, and collaborators *Coordinating travel arrangements and events *Supporting the administration of licensing agreements, contracts, and related documentation *Managing invoicing processes and assisting with payment and collection follow-ups *Supporting Plant Breeders’ Rights applications, renewals, compliance, and reporting *Maintaining accurate databases, records, and management tools *Supporting nursery administration, including stock and plant material movements *Assisting with national and international operations, including import and export processes *Coordinating administrative and operational activities across departments *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification;

• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in an administrative support, operations, or document management role, preferably in the fruit industry;

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans;

• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
