PRODUCTION MANAGER: RETAIL PACKAGING

Bergendal Rooibos, situated in Citrusdal, is an established player in the rooibos industry, specialising in the production, processing, packaging and export of premium-quality rooibos tea. Bergendal Rooibos offers an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Production Manager to join their team in the rooibos tea packaging division.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication and leadership skills, is passionate about technical aspects, and excels in the practical execution of tasks, people management and shop floor management.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Focusing on technical aspects, the implementation of the packing plan, quality control and floor management *Managing the technical aspects of the production process, including the maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of machinery to ensure uninterrupted production *Implementing and monitoring the packing plan to ensure the efficient production and packaging of rooibos tea products *Conducting regular quality control checks to ensure that products meet the required standards *Leading floor management, including the effective deployment of personnel to achieve optimal production *Reporting regularly to the General Manager on production progress, challenges and areas for improvement *Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Health and Safety rules and standards (BRC).

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• A relevant qualification in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related field will be advantageous;

• Previous experience in a production or technical management role, particularly within a packaging environment, will be advantageous;

• A sound understanding of technical principles and the ability to solve problems;

• Strong practical insight and the ability to execute plans effectively.

Bergendal Rooibos bied ’n uitstekende geleentheid vir ’n dinamiese Produksiebestuurder om hul span in die rooibostee-verpakkingsafdeling te versterk.

Die ideale kandidaat beskik oor uitstekende kommunikasie- en leierskapvaardighede, het 'n passie vir tegniese aspekte, en blink uit in die praktiese uitvoering van take, mensebestuur en vloerbestuur.

Verantwoordelikhede sluit onder andere in: *Fokus op tegniese aspekte, die uitvoering van die pakplan, kwaliteitskontroles en vloerbestuur *Hanteer die tegniese aspekte van die produksieproses, insluitend die instandhouding, werking, foutopsporing en herstel van masjiene om ononderbroke produksie te verseker *Implementeer en monitor die pakplan om die effektiewe produksie en verpakking van rooibosteeprodukte te verseker *Voer gereelde kwaliteitskontroles uit om te verseker dat produkte aan die vereiste standaarde voldoen *Neem leiding in vloerbestuur, insluitend die aanwending van personeel om optimale produksie te verseker *Rapporteer gereeld aan die Algemene Bestuurder oor produksievordering, uitdagings en areas vir verbetering *Verseker voldoening aan Voedselveiligheids-, Gesondheids- en Veiligheidsreëls en -standaarde (BRC).

Noodsaaklike kwalifikasies, vaardighede en ervaring:

• 'n Relevante kwalifikasie in Ingenieurswese, Tegniese Bestuur, of 'n verwante veld sal voordelig wees;

• Vorige ondervinding in 'n produksie- of tegniese bestuursrol, veral binne 'n verpakkingsomgewing, sal voordelig wees;

• Goeie begrip van tegniese beginsels en die vermoë om probleme op te los;

• Sterk praktiese insig en die vermoë om 'n plan doeltreffend uit te voer.
