Our client, a leading fruit processing and manufacturing business in Paarl, is seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant to oversee financial reporting, treasury, taxation, audits, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is a proactive finance professional with strong accounting expertise, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently while influencing stakeholders across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not be limited to): *Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance *Manage fixed asset registers and capital expenditure records *Oversee taxation compliance, including VAT, PAYE, income tax, and statutory submissions *Manage treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring, payment approvals, and banking relationships *Coordinate annual external audits and drive internal audit and control processes *Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities *Analyse financial performance, costs, and trends to provide business insights and recommendations *Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements *Lead finance-related process improvement initiatives and support cross-functional business projects *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;

• Completed SAICA articles and/or professional accounting qualification will be advantageous;

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within a multi-entity or group environment;

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, treasury, and audit processes;

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems experience;

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;

• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license.
