Our client, an established producer, packer, and exporter within the agricultural sector, is seeking a dynamic and detail-driven Finance Manager to take ownership of their financial operations and play a key role in driving business success. With production units and pack houses based across the Western Cape, the company operates within a fast-paced and evolving environment focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This role is ideally suited to a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for process optimisation and financial excellence. The position is office-based in Bellville, Western Cape and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): *The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: *Leading compliance with IFRS, tax, and statutory requirements *Driving automation of financial processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability *Building and maintaining advanced financial models *Supporting funding applications, lender reporting, and Board presentations *Mentoring and managing departmental staff across production units *Continuously improving financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy *Managing financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies *Taking ownership of ad hoc finance projects and strategic initiatives *Collaborating with operational teams to support business performance and growth *Performing all other duties related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field;
• CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous;
• Minimum of 8 years’ progressive finance and management experience;
• Strong technical finance background with experience in compliance, reporting, financial systems, automation, and financial modelling;
• Strong leadership and people management skills;
• Agriculture industry experience will be advantageous;
• Willingness to travel from time to time as required.
