Our client, operating in the agricultural and wine production sector, has an exciting opportunity available for a hands-on, detail-orientated, and organised Accountant to join their team based in Noordhoek, Cape Town.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: *Overseeing a small finance team *Monthly management accounts and weekly financial reporting *Budgeting, forecasting, and budget vs actual tracking *Preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) *Debtors and creditors management *Bank processing and reconciliations *Stock and cost reconciliations (wine inventory and packaging) *Tax and statuary submissions (VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, IT, UIF, WCA) *Liaison with SARS, auditors and external service providers *Audit and independent review preparation *All other tasks related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• BCom Accounting or Finance related qualification, registration with SAIPA will be advantageous;

• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role (experience in the wine industry preferred);

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices;

• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel (Xero and WineMS advantageous);

• Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English);

• Own reliable transport.
