Philagro SA, a leading supplier of quality agricultural products, has an opportunity available for a Technical Product Manager with a strong focus on Biorational products (including Plant Growth Regulators, Biologicals, Biostimulants and Biofertilisers) and Conventional products in the Row Crop- and Vegetable markets.


The ideal incumbent will be situated in the Northern Free State, Western Free State or the North West Province, and the main focus of the role will be to develop and sell the Biorational and Conventional product portfolio of Philagro in the allocated regions (Northern Free State, Western Free State and the North West Province) through demand creation - including technical support at agent and farmer level, conducting trials to illustrate the value proposition, farmer and retailer information days, pre-launch, and launch activities with targeted farmers, dealers, agents and key role players in the industry to develop the awareness and increase sales of Biorational and Conventional products.


The successful candidate will report to the Commercial and Marketing Manager, North and duties will include: *technical support at grower and agent level *product training *research and development *management of budgets *product stewardship *demand creation and selling the value proposition of the Biorational and Conventional product portfolio on Row crops and Vegetables *all other tasks related to the role.


Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field;

• Experience with row crops and vegetables;

• Knowledge of the crop protection industry, including biorationals, biostimulants, plant growth regulators and conventional products;

• Good understanding of plant physiology, plant nutrition, crop production, crop protection, and soil health will be beneficial;

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);

• Willingness to travel.
