Our client, based in the Greyton area, requires an ambitious, hands-on Financial Manager to join their growing agribusiness in South Africa. This role combines operational financial control with strategic potential starting with budgeting, cost control, reporting, and evolving towards broader responsibilities in financial planning, IFRS reporting, audit preparation, and eventually group-level finance leadership.

Duties include (but will not be limited to):

• Develop, monitor, and update annual budgets and forecasts. Provide monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget).

• Monitor day-to-day operating expenses across business units (livestock, viticulture, tourism). Identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts. Ensure timely and accurate reporting for internal stakeholders and shareholders.

• Prepare documentation and support external auditors. Ensure compliance with South African tax and regulatory frameworks.

• Assist in preparing reports under IFRS for consolidation purposes. Support alignment with international investors and partners.

• Monitor inflows and outflows, prepare forecasts, and liaise with banks and financial institutions when needed.

• Systems and Processes: Improve accounting and reporting systems (ERP/software). Implement internal controls and financial policies.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field - CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred;

• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, controlling, or audit;

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, management reporting, and cost control;

• Familiarity with IFRS and experience with audit processes;

• Experience in agribusiness, FMCG, or tourism sector would be an advantage;

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ERP experience is a plus;

• Excellent communication skills (English required; Afrikaans or German will be advantageous).
