Our client, operating in the wine industry, is looking for a Debtors Clerk to join their Finance team, based in Stellenbosch. This role requires a detail-oriented and organised individual with proven debtors experience who can take ownership of their accounts, maintain accuracy under pressure, and build strong professional relationships with customers.

The ideal candidate is structured, disciplined, and solutions-driven, with the ability to balance precision and urgency while working both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Managing the full debtors function, including processing and reconciling customer accounts *Monitoring overdue accounts, following up with customers, and escalating where necessary *Liaising with key retailers and customers to resolve queries and ensure compliance with strict deadlines *Allocating receipts and remittances accurately and timeously *Preparing reconciliations, reports, and supporting schedules *Assisting with month-end processes and supporting robust internal financial controls *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Matric required, with good results in Mathematics and Accounting;

• A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous;

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar debtors/accounting role;

• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel;

• Syspro/TrailD system experience will be advantageous;

• Valid license and own reliable transport.
