Our client, a farm situated near Porterville in the Western Cape, has an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach to leadership, paired with excellent organisational- and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will report to the Farm Manager and be responsible for all production aspects pertaining to blueberries, including: *Overseeing the day-to-day operations of blueberry cultivation, from planting to harvest *Developing and implementing production schedules aligned with seasonal and market demands *Monitoring crop health, soil conditions, irrigation, pest/disease control, and nutrition programs *Supervising farm workers and coordinating with field teams to ensure labour efficiency *Maintaining accurate records of production, inputs, yields, and compliance with safety/agricultural standards *Collaborating with logistics and sales teams to ensure timely distribution *All other duties related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field;

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in berry or fruit crop production;

• Strong knowledge of blueberry farming practices, pest/disease management, and GAP standards;

• Strong computer skills (MS Office required, proficiency in farm management software and field technologies will be advantageous);

• Must be flexible and willing to work extended hours during peak seasons.
