Our client, a missions organisation based in Somerset West, is seeking an Junior Financial Manager to support their growing finance team. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting donor accountability, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit standards.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid bookkeeping expertise, and a proactive attitude in a mission-driven environment and will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Maintain day-to-day financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and transaction tracking *Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and efficiently *Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports *Manage petty cash, staff reimbursements, and bank reconciliations *Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit readiness *Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and donor reporting processes *Uphold and improve financial controls and procedures *Work within and help maintain our accounting systems and platforms *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;

• Minimum 5+ years’ proven experience in a financial, bookkeeping or accounting role;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software;

• Experience working with Sage Intacct is highly advantageous;

• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and double-entry accounting;

• Strong organizational and time management skills;

• Good communication and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English);

• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
