This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fastpaced, multi-entity environment. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient financial operations across multiple entities within the group.
Key responsibilities include: *Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple companies and trusts *Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure timely reconciliations *Manage intercompany loan accounts and transactions *Assist in the preparation of annual audit files and liaise with external auditors *Ensure tax compliance (VAT, Income Tax, PAYE) for all entities *Prepare management reports and cash flow forecasts *Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis *Work closely with directors, external accountants, and legal advisors *Oversee processing of supplier invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations *Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, income, and expenses *Assist with ad hoc financial projects, reports, and system improvements *all other tasks related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field;
• At least 3 years’ relevant accounting experience (preferably in group or trust structures);
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting;
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel;
• Experience with trust accounting and compliance is highly advantageous;
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
