Our client, is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Production Manager with high attention to detail, to responsibly lead and manage their medium sized stone fruit farm located in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all farm activities, including overseeing the labor force and guiding the team to improve efficiencies, while maintaining the highest fruit quality standards. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Manage day-to-day production operations on the farm *Coordinate and lead entire the labor force *Implement processes to increase production efficiency *Attention to detail *Monitor production and quality data to identify areas for improvement *Irrigation and crop protection *Basic knowledge of tractors and farm vehicle mechanics *All other tasks related to this management position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Matric, and a relevant qualification or Diploma in Horticulture will be advantageous;

• 10 years’ experience in production management on a stone fruit or fruit farm;

• A background in table grapes, horticulture, and/or production of vegetables will be beneficial;

• Knowledge of bees and beehives will be advantageous;

• Experience with GlobalGap and SIZA certification will be beneficial;

• Strong leadership and relational skills;

• Excellent communication skills (English and Afrikaans).

Occupation of employer provided housing on the farm is a necessity.
