Our client, based in Paarden Eiland (Cape Town), is a significantly expanding tax, accounting and auditing practice looking to employ a bright and independent Tax Compliance Officer. The ideal individual should be meticulous with administration and be open to learn and grow within a vibrant, qualified team.

The ideal candidate is driven by self-motivation, possesses exceptional attention to detail, thrives on meeting deadlines, and excels in interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities: *Manage a portfolio of +-300 tax clients *Complete income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and exempt entities *Handle SARS appointments, tax structuring and compliance *Prepare and submit dividends tax returns *Review and object to incorrect tax assessments *Manage SARS dispute resolution, provisional tax and clearances *Address client and SARS queries *All other tasks related tot his role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Graduate or Post-Graduate Tax or Accounting qualification;

• Registered Tax Practitioner or prepared to become a Tax Practitioner with SARS; and a recognised controlling body;

• Working knowledge of SARS e-filing website;

• Working knowledge of tax software (Greatsoft would be an advantage);

• 3-4 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of tax clients (individuals, companies and trusts);

• Strong computer skills (MS Office);

• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
