Pure Legacy (Pty) Ltd, is in search of a proactive and dynamic Exotic Fruit Category Manager, to service the Mpumalanga and surrounding regions. The successful candidate must extensive knowledge of exotic fruit varieties, market trends, and supply chain dynamics.


Essential skills for this position include strong interpersonal, organizational, technical, commercial, and negotiation abilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to ensuring that the exotic fruit category aligns with the company's financial and strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

*Develop and execute fruit sourcing strategy based on market trends, seasonality, and quality requirements *Identify and onboard new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones *Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure competitive terms *Conduct supplier evaluations and audits for quality and sustainability compliance *Maintain rigorous quality control throughout procurement *Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold fruit standards *Coordinate logistics for timely delivery to facilities *Manage inventory and optimize stock rotation for freshness *Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks *Develop risk mitigation strategies for disruptions *Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business goals *Provide regular reports on fruit procurement and market conditions.


Requirements:

• Matric required, with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field;

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of agricultural supply chains;

• Familiarity with quality control standards and regulations related to exotic fruits;

• Fluency in both Afrikaans and English;

• Willingness to travel and visit producers within the Northern grower regions.
