Our client, Bestpak, previously known as Nampak Liquid Plastics, based in Epping, Western Cape, is recruiting for a skilled and experienced Millwright looking for an exciting career change. As the premier supplier of plastic bottles, jars, tottles, closures, caps, glass bottles, and pumps in, Bestpak is renowned for its extensive product range, superior quality, and dedication to customer satisfaction. Our client is now expanding heir operations and is looking for a Senior Millwright to help maintain and enhance their world-class production standards.


The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following: *Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing and packaging process *Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime *Lead and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards *Install, inspect, and commission new equipment as required *Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to optimize processes and improve equipment performance *Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company policies *All other tasks related to the position.


Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Certified Millwright with a Red Seal qualification would be advantageous;

• Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or packaging environment;

• Strong expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems, including PLC programming and fault finding;

• Familiarity with maintenance practices in the food and beverage, cosmetics, or similar industries is highly advantageous;

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and guide a team effectively;

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork;

• Good computer proficiency (MS Office).
