Pay@, a leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions, is looking for a Reconciliation Analyst to join their growing team, based in Stellenbosch. This role focuses on delivering accurate and efficient reconciliation processes within a fast-paced FinTech environment.
The ideal incumbent is a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and high level of accuracy. The role will involve uncovering discrepancies, driving process improvements, and working collaboratively to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee and manage daily, weekly, and monthly business partner settlement & fee reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency;
• Partner with external business stakeholders to proactively identify & resolve any discrepancies and to drive preventative solutions;
• Conduct thorough settlement reconciliations, identifying and addressing any discrepancies in transactional & banking records;
• Continuously improve reconciliation & settlement processes by developing and implementing best practices;
• Assist with the design and development of reconciliation and settlement processes for new payment networks onboarded;
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of reconciliation methods, outcomes, and solutions;
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies by closely monitoring procedures;
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing detailed documentation and clear explanations of methodologies.
Minimum requirements:
• Completed accounting or finance qualification (BCom or BAcc preferred);
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role, focusing on financial data and reconciliations;
• Excellent MS Excel skills (including pivots and lookups);
• Understanding of the payments environment would be highly beneficial;
• Fluent in business English, any additional languages will be seen as beneficial;
• Own reliable transport.
