Our client, who owns a farm consisting of various production departments and warehouses in the Mpumalanga area, currently seeks to appoint a self-motivated individual with good communication skills at all levels, excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative. This is a senior position which requires ±10 years’ management experience in a similar production environment, a relevant tertiary qualification and exceptional computer skills. As General Manager you will report to the owner, with the various managers reporting directly to you. Your responsibility for the overall day-to-day management function will include the following duties: • stock control • overall financial and budgetary management • personnel management • the compilation of monthly reports • inventory management • the implementation of systems • the conservation of plants and animals on the farm • project management • all other tasks related to the position.
