Our client, based in Canada, is looking for an energetic and dynamic Farm Manager to join their team. The incumbent must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, can perform under pressure and will need to show initiative and leadership qualities that will enhance and help grow the farming activities.

Reporting to the Senior Farm Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for approximately 100ha of Pome Fruit, mainly consisting of apples. This is a new role, ultimately with succession planning in mind to take over from the Senior Farm Manager within the next 3–5 seasons.

Key performance areas will include: *Management and control of production processes (planting, irrigation, disease and pest control, application of fertilizer, pruning programs, spraying, harvesting, etc.) *Quality management *Personnel management *Basic maintenance *General administration & recordkeeping *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture;

• Approximately 3 years’ relevant experience, ideally with pome and/or stone fruit;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;

• Excellent people management skills;

• Excellent computer literacy;

• Willingness to work hours as per seasonal requirements;

• Valid passport.
