Contour Logistics is seeking an energetic and dedicated Transport Coordinator based in their Centurion office. The Transport Co-Ordinator will manage logistics from origin to delivery, co-ordinate transportation, and ensure service excellence while meeting sales targets for the division. In addition, the role will focus on obtaining new General Cargo customers through networking, cold calling, and other methods. The incumbent will provide innovative and practical solutions to drive business success.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. They should thrive under pressure, be adaptable in navigating ambiguity and conflict, and demonstrate a passion for delivering results. A collaborative mindset and the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and team members are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-ordinate transportation of loads, ensuring accuracy and service excellence;
• Update the DATATIM system with accurate and complete load information;
• Obtain transport rates for customers and recommend cost-effective methods;
• Oversee timely deliveries and resolve delivery issues;
• Handle customer complaints and maintain strong customer relationships;
• Identify and engage potential clients, achieving sales targets;
• Ensure all credit applications for new customers are completed and submitted.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Matric qualification is required;
• A tertiary qualification in Logistics or Marketing degree is preferred;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in transport, logistics, or FMCG cargo;
• Excellent computer & administrative skills;
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
