Southern Fruit Growers, with their head office in Somerset West, is looking for an experienced self-motivated and proactive Financial Manager to lead their finance team. The incumbent will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, working closely with the CFO to support financial decision-making and drive the company’s growth and success.

The incumbent will report directly to the CFO. Duties will include: *Lead, monitor, and evaluate the finance team's performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards *Develop and manage financial models, analyse trends and risks, and monitor performance to recommend corrective actions *Prepare financial statements and management reports to provide insights for strategic decisions *Oversee SARS submissions and handle queries and audits *Review and monitor financial processes and controls, implementing improvements to enhance procedures and optimise systems *Analyse cost structures to identify savings and efficiency improvements to maximise profitability *Identify and manage financial risks, including exchange rate exposure and credit risk, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies *Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes for accuracy and efficiency, implementing best practices in financial management and reporting *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom Accounting), postgraduate qualifications are advantageous;

• Completed SAICA articles are preferable;

• 1-2 years’ post-article experience;

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements;

• Advanced Excel skills;

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);

• Valid driver’s license.
