Laastedrif Agri (Pty) Ltd., is an established commercial agricultural enterprise, specialising in the cultivation of fresh fruit and vegetables. Laastedrif is based in Ceres and serves a range of local supermarkets as well as international markets.

The successful candidate will need strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and hands-on leadership skills to ensure compliance and guide teams through complex processes. Effective communication is essential for influencing and improving systems.

The incumbent will report to the CEO and be responsible for: *Overseeing and implementing food safety, quality, health and safety, ethical and environmental management systems *Ensuring production compliance with regards to food safety and quality *Performing internal audits to ensure conformance to standards *Applying corrective actions from audit non-conformances and improve systems *Keeping the company up to date with all food safety, health, and environmental legislation *Conducting assessments to enhance operations and implementation of interventions to enhance food safety culture *Training staff on compliance requirements *Maintaining company certifications and ensure all documents are current *Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies within the framework of the Standards *Providing input with regards to product development *Handling complaints from retailers and consumers *All other tasks related to

the role.

Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, or a related field;

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance or quality management, preferably within the agricultural sector;

• Experience with BRCGS, HACCP, Global Gap, ISO, SIZA (experience with IBL advantageous);

• Good labour relations & ethical standards knowledge;

• Excellent computer literacy;

• Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans), IsiXhosa will be advantageous;

• Valid driver’s license & own reliable transport.
