NexusAG, with its head office in Paarl, is a leading provider of agricultural crop solutions to optimise healthy crops and contribute to food security.

NexusAG currently has the above vacancy for a dynamic and organised person with a combination of well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, paired with the ability to function well in a team and perform under pressure, to join their technical team.

A relevant tertiary qualification (B.Sc.) is the minimum requirement for this position. An aptitude for scientific data processing and excellent computer skills (MS Office – specifically MS Excel and Macros), as well as GIS (GQIS and/or ArcGis) skills, are further requirements. Candidates with knowledge of the agricultural sector and/or AVCASA/BASOS qualifications, previous experience in a similar position, as well as basic computer software skills, will be given preference.

The successful candidate will report to the Technical Division Head and responsibilities will include:

• Acquiring, providing, capturing, and consolidating scientific information;

• Direct and regular engagement with role players, including customers, distributors, and suppliers;

• Maintenance of current documentation and systems;

• Database development;

• Creating digital farm maps using GIS;

• Processing data on Excel;

• Providing support to Technical Managers and distributors;

• Drafting or reviewing technical marketing communications and materials to distributors;

• Conducting literature studies in the agricultural science field.
