Our client, a well-established wine export company situated in the Breede River Valley region, is seeking to appoint a confident, results-driven International Sales Manager with strategic thinking capabilities and creative problem-solving skills to join their team.

This critical role will primarily be responsible for actively seeking new opportunities for growing brands globally, as well as servicing the current international customer base. In addition, the role will drive collaborative efforts between the sales, marketing and production teams to provide customer insight, as well as a coordinated approach to implement promotional activities.

The incumbent will report directly to the Commercial Director. Duties will include: *Conducting analysis of key international markets *Developing & implementing pricing policies for products *Assist in designing innovative marketing strategies for product launches & activities *Building relationships with key accounts & strategic partners *Monitoring & recommending improvements to sales plans *Understanding customer needs & assisting with retail concepts to ensure brand alignment *Budget management & resource allocation *Developing & maintaining annual calendar of sales activities for review *Providing budget/inventory forecasts *Reporting on actual performance against forecasts & budgets *Conducting post-campaign analysis & feedback *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing or a similar field;

• Minimum 5 years’ international sales experience in the wine industry;

• Understanding and knowledge of premium wine products;

• Strong computer literacy (MS Office);

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills (English);

• Willingness to travel internationally and perform tasks over weekends and evenings when necessary.

This is a hybrid role that requires at least 2 office days per week.
