Pay@, a leading payment aggregator and provider of market-leading payment solutions is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead our marketing and branding efforts as we scale and diversify our offerings. The role will form part of ManCo and collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders to drive marketing strategies that support our business objectives, which include expanding our core services and new product lines.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent marketing management and communication skills, bringing extensive experience in both B2B and B2C marketing. The incumbent has the ability to manage multiple projects and function effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment. Furthermore, the individual should have the ability to ensure the ROI of marketing spend, negotiate contracts and manage multiple service providers.
Responsibilities will include:
• Custodian of Pay@’s brand performance;
• Develop marketing strategies and plans to grow core and new services, including bill payments, e-commerce and SaaS, as well as supporting geographical expansion;
• Manage advertising, digital marketing initiatives, social media, PR, newsletters and content updates;
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to enhance our marketing approach;
• Plan and manage events to promote Pay@;
• Liaise closely with cross-functional teams and external service providers to align and execute marketing efforts;
• Lead marketing campaigns, analyze performance, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights;
• Manage marketing budgets and resources, ensuring effective allocation;
Minimum requirements:
• 8 - 10 years’ experience in a similar marketing role, with at least 5 years in a senior marketing role;
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Marketing;
• Experience in the Financial Services industry (with focus on the Payments industry preferred);
• Driver’s license;
• Fluent in English (Afrikaans would be beneficial).
