Bellevue Wine Estate, situated on the Bottelary road in Stellenbosch, is looking to appoint an energetic Junior Farm Manager with excellent supervisory and communication skills. The incumbent will report to the Farm Manager/Viticulturist, and will assist in overseeing the vineyards, floral packhouse, and production of floral bouquet fillers. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Assisting the Farm Manager with all aspects related to vineyard, floral development and maintenance *Ensuring production activities are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and standard operating procedures *Assisting with recordkeeping and compliance standards of WIETA and IPW *Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement *Collaborating with the Farm Manager in monitoring vine health, disease management and implementing appropriate measures where needed *Supervising farm and packhouse staff *All other tasks related to the position. Minimum requirements: • Matric, and approximately 2-3 years’ practical experience in a similar role (including experience in vineyard and or flower management); • Understanding of wine production, grape varieties and viticulture techniques; • Knowledge of quality control measures, compliance and wine industry regulations; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Valid driver's license and own transport.
