uniWines Vineyards, with its office in the beautiful Breedekloof wine region, has an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, organised, and analytical individual, with strong bilingual communication skills and the ability to work independently, to join their team. Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): *preparation, storage, and analysis of samples *maintenance and operation of laboratory instrumentation *ensuring that quality, health, and safety standards are maintained *recording data accurately, promptly, and complying with the laboratory management system *ordering and receiving stock, checking completeness of orders, and doing stock take *interpretation of wine analysis results *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary qualification in Food/Cellar Technology or related field (Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology); • Experience in a similar position in the wine industry will be advantageous; • Basic hand method analysis (including but not limited to VA, aspiration, pycno, protein, cold stability and pinking analysis); • Knowledge of Winescan; • Good computer literacy (MS Office); Note that the position requires the incumbent to stand for long hours and work overtime when required.
