De Wet Cellar, situated just outside Worcester, has a vacancy for a Senior Winemaker to join their team. The ideal candidate should be a highly organised and detail-oriented leader with strong communication and team management skills, capable of adapting to challenges and fostering collaboration within the cellar. The Senior Winemaker will report directly to the Manager/Head Winemaker and will be responsible for: *Overseeing and coordinating all cellar and harvest activities *Managing the entire winemaking process, including blending and stabilisation *Scheduling and overseeing bottling processes *Maintaining and managing quality control systems (IPW, ISO22000, WIETA) *Handling inventory control *Supervising and managing cellar staff *Procuring necessary chemicals *Managing staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements *Contributing to brand promotion, client engagement, and product development *All other tasks related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • A relevant tertiary qualification in Viticulture and Oenology; • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in a similar position; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS); • Valid driver's license.
