Our client, based in White River, Mpumalanga, has the above position available for a reliable, proactive individual with a passion for the industry. The ideal candidate has experience in advisory skills on botany, irrigation, pruning and trial block. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager.

Duties will include, but not be limited to: *Advising and maintaining macadamia orchards to ensure optimal growth and productivity *Implementing effective pest and disease management strategies *Monitoring irrigation systems and ensuring proper water management *Conducting regular soil testing and implementing fertilizer programs *Collaborating with a team to achieve production targets and quality standards *Contributing to ongoing research and development initiatives *All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant degree in Horticulture and/or Plant Physiology;
• Proven experience in horticulture or orchard management;
• Strong knowledge of macadamia and/or fruit tree cultivation practices;
• At least 5-8 years’ macadamia and/or fruit tree experience;
• Experience in Plant Growth Regulators will be advantageous;
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office);
• Driver’s license and own reliable transport.
