Ceres Fruit Growers, one of the leading fruit packing and marketing companies in SA, has the above position available for an energetic and professional individual to join their Production department at their Ceres (Western Cape) premises. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for: *Optimum utilization of labour, products and packaging material *Management of the receipt, sorting and grading of fruit to ensure customer satisfaction *Daily operational planning *Administration, which includes reports, production- and personnel information *Maintenance of quality and safety standards *Maintaining discipline *Management of packing line to ensure maximising value for our producers *Efficient management of labour is crucial in this role. Minimum Requirements: • Approximately 3 years’ relevant practical experience in a similar work environment; • The ability to communicate and lead effectively at all levels; • Basic technical/mechanical background; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English); • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Valid driver’s license. Advantageous: • Tertiary qualification in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering/Production Management or practical knowledge/experience specifically within the fruit industry.
