Our client, the prestigious Haute Cabrière based in Franschhoek, Western Cape, is looking for an ambitious individual to join our hospitality team as the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have work experience in a similar position within the industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company *Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols *Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity *Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget *Track staffing requirements, recruit new employees as needed *Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment *Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service *Manage cross-functional teams, specifically the link between back of house (kitchen), front of house service and tasting room *Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant *Oversee materials and inventory *Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management *All other tasks related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • 2 or more years of proven success in an Operations Management role and prior roles within back of house, front of house or supervising hospitality teams; • Strong skills in budget development and management; • Strong leadership, communication and conflict management skills; • Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications; • Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans); • Own reliable transportation.
