Our client situated in the Greyton area, has the above-mentioned opportunity available for a Security Manager, who will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the company’s security policies and procedures. The candidate will primarily be responsible for the safeguarding of the main estate and secondarily the farm’s assets. The candidate will report directly to the General Manager. Duties will include but not limited to: *Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities; Analyze security risks and recommend measures to mitigate them *Security Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute security plans and strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives *Physical Security: Implement measures to secure physical premises, assets, and equipment; Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, such as access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms *Personnel Security: Manage and coordinate security personnel, including training, scheduling, and supervision; Conduct background checks on employees and contractors as part of the recruitment process *Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, ensuring the safety of employees and assets during crises *Security Awareness: Conduct security awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices; Foster a culture of security consciousness within the organization *Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security *Incident Response: Establish and manage incident response procedures to address security incidents promptly and effectively. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role; • PSIRA registered will be advantageous; • Fluent in English; • Valid driver’s license is essential; • Must be able to work independently.
